• Welcome! I am Hannah, and I'm glad you're here! I am a Maine photographer specializing in fine art newborn and children's portraiture. I also take on a limited number of small New England weddings now and then as well.

I have two wonderful kiddos of my own (whom you might notice are more than occasionally featured here in the blog), I am madly in love with said children and my amazing husband, I have tea and toast for breakfast every morning, and I love to travel (to the backyard or to Italy...it's all exciting to me).

I approach every shoot with an open mind, with respect to the fact that every child, family and event has its own personality. It is important to me that clients feel as if they are not just purchasing a photograph, but rather making an investment in a timeless heirloom. I believe that miracles and beauty exist in every detail and moment of the day and that life is a gift to be celebrated!

365 Project | Day 6

My mom and I headed to Boston this past weekend for a much-needed mini vacation. We had a lovely time…walking in the 50 degree(!) temps, eating good food, and window shopping. I am a little late getting these photos up, but we were having a such a great time, that I didn’t have enough time to post at the end of each day!

365 Project | Day 5

Yes, I did skip a day, but I did not skip a picture!…sometimes photos are just a little too personal to post on here, but I swear, my resolution is intact! Here’s my daughter, in her favorite place…the kitchen. Doing her favorite thing…eating. Again.

365 Project | Day 3

Yesterday it was almost 50 degrees, and today it was about 10 with the wind chill…needless to say, it’s been difficult for my body to figure out what season it really is. The following photos of ice were taken on the very cold evening walk with our dog. Even though I could not feel my fingers by the time I had shot for all of four minutes, it was only after I got home and worked on them a bit that I came to appreciate their beauty, and was glad that I stopped long enough on my walk to notice. To me, they are other-wordly, and yet could also be something from under a microscope. I could not choose just one to post, so I didn’t restrict myself. Each one tells a different story, and I am sure will be interpreted differently by each viewer. They remind me of the first part of a William Blake poem:

“To see a World in a Grain of Sand

and a Heaven in a Wildflower,

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And Eternity in an hour.”
